Standard Wall Girts

Standard wall girts are most commonly used in the typical post-frame application.  The girts are 2×6 spaced 24” on center and nailed to the outside of the post.  Screws then fasten the wall steel to the girt framing. If heavy insulation and drywall are required commercial girts or vertical studs must be used.
